Fundraising through the Walk drives bold and urgent innovation as we march together toward a treatment and ultimately a cure for ALS.

The Local Connection

Your participation in Walk ALS has a direct, local, impact on people living with ALS and their loved ones. The funds raised at this event allow us to provide education, support groups, access to care and advocacy for people impacted by ALS in your community. The funds also allow us to invest in critical research for treatments and a cure. Your dollars make a significant impact for people living with ALS in the northwest.

Our Walk events this year are all about superheroes! Show us your unique superpower in the fight to end ALS or share who your ALS hero is and what makes them extraordinary. Together, we're unstoppable!

Why I Walk...

Brian Epp

Brian Epp

I have had ALS for over a decade now and I attended lots of walks over the years. I love to go to them to spread awareness to the community of ALS and those people and families that are affected by it. I love seeing all the families there supporting us and others affected by ALS. My favorite part is seeing other people living with ALS with their families and friends and having a chance to talk to them and get to know them better! Please come out and be part of our movement to have comradery and educate the community around us.

My family looks forward to the ALS Walk each year. We have been attending the Walks since 2017, and we always wear our bright red shirts and shiny yellow capes. Even during the pandemic, we were out walking in our neighborhood. It’s important to unite with other families to raise awareness of ALS and raise funds to support those families living with this awful disease.

It is an honor and a privilege to walk in memory of our friend, Laurie Karma. She was the bravest soul we’ve ever met! She faced ALS with grace, strength, and dignity. We walk to help find a cure, we walk for those who have lost their battle, for those facing the battle, and those that will receive an ALS diagnosis, and we walk for the people that love them.

My family and I began participating in the walk after my diagnosis in 2019. Every year, we look forward to seeing other families and showing our commitment to the walk and an end to ALS.
